Ahhh, summer. It came early here, with warmth and sun when we still expect our soft gentle rain. June is the month when I hate to leave my yard, with the abundance of flowers in all their colors, shapes, and smells. They don't often make their way into my paintings, but they are always in my heart! My new paintings all relate to water. I think of them as "at the edge of the water." Large bodies of water, small streams, roaring rivers, not even seen through the woods, quiet ponds. I love the trees near water, the marshes and reeds, the stillness and the movement.
